Daniele, 34, graduated summa cum laude in Biology at the University of Pisa, where he has been an alumnus of the Scuola Normale Superiore. He got his Ph.D. at the Bowling Green State University in Ohio.

He met Ruth and they got married.
After being engaged in research work at Temple University in Philadelphia, they moved to Rome. He is now doing research and teaching in two Roman Universities.
